Description#
Khan Tengri is the famous marble pyramid of the central Tian Shan, rising above the Inylchek glaciers on the Kyrgyz–Kazakh frontier. It is one of the classic Snow Leopard peaks.
The usual expedition approach is from South Inylchek base camp, with the normal route following the western ridge via a series of high camps. Its steep upper ridge and severe weather distinguish it from a straightforward snow peak.
