Description#

Jengish Chokusu, or Pobeda Peak, is the highest summit of the Tian Shan and a formidable frontier mountain between Kyrgyzstan and China. It is widely regarded as the most demanding Snow Leopard objective.

The usual approach enters from Kyrgyzstan via the South Inylchek Glacier and uses high camps around Vaja Pshavela. The standard ridge route is long, heavily glaciated and highly committing.
