Description#
Gokyo Ri is the celebrated viewpoint directly above Gokyo village in the Khumbu. Its summit panorama takes in Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu as well as the Ngozumpa Glacier.
The normal ascent is a steep trekking trail from Gokyo, generally made as an acclimatisation day or before crossing Renjo La or Cho La. It does not require technical climbing in normal conditions.
