Dent du Géant (Dente del Gigante)

Description#

Dent du Géant is the unmistakable granite tooth above the Glacier du Géant on the French–Italian frontier. Its steep, compact rock makes it a classic technical summit rather than a snow climb.

Rifugio Torino is the normal base. The standard route ascends the south-west face by fixed ropes and short pitches; the south-east ridge is another classic line.
