Description#
Lauteraarhorn is a remote Bernese Alps summit at the head of the Unteraar Glacier. Its long ridges offer a notably wild contrast to the railway-accessed peaks farther west.
The Lauteraar Hut is the normal base, and the usual route follows the south-east ridge after a glacier approach. The Lauteraarhorn–Schreckhorn traverse is a major alpine link.
