Description#
Gran Paradiso is the only Alpine four-thousander entirely within Italy and the high point of Gran Paradiso National Park. Its summit crest ends at the well-known Madonna statue.
The normal routes start from Rifugio Chabod or Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele II, cross the glacier and finish along the exposed rocky summit ridge. The north face is a serious alternative.
