Description#
Pollux is Castor’s rocky twin above the Val d’Ayas and the Lys Glacier. The peak is particularly known for its short, exposed upper ridge.
The normal route starts from Rifugio Guide d’Ayas, crosses the glacier and follows the south-west ridge with fixed protection on its rocky steps. It is often paired with Castor from Rifugio Quintino Sella.
