Description#
The Breithorn Gendarm, or East Twin, is a subsidiary summit on the eastern part of the Breithorn frontier ridge. Its importance lies in the complete Breithorn traverse.
It is normally passed from west to east after the main Breithorn summit, starting at Klein Matterhorn. The exposed ridge links several named tops before the Italian descent options.
