Description#
Mönch forms the central summit of the Eiger–Mönch–Jungfrau group above the Aletsch Glacier. Its north face and elegant ridges make it a major Bernese Alps objective.
The normal route is based at the Mönchsjoch Hut and follows the south-east ridge. The Lauper Route on the north face is a classic, much more serious line.
