Description#
Jungfrau is one of the Bernese Alps’ defining summits, overlooking the Aletsch Glacier and the Lauterbrunnen valley. Its northern face is a landmark of Alpine climbing history.
The normal route starts at the Mönchsjoch Hut, reaches the Rottalsattel and follows the south-east ridge. The north face is a very different, serious objective.
