Description#
The western summit is the highest point of the Breithorn ridge above Zermatt and Cervinia. Proximity to the Klein Matterhorn lift makes it an unusually accessible high-alpine summit.
The normal route crosses the western Breithorn glacier from Klein Matterhorn. Traversing the entire Breithorn ridge toward its eastern summits is markedly more serious.
