Description#
Dent d’Hérens is the remote, heavily glaciated neighbour of the Matterhorn on the Swiss–Italian frontier. Its north face is a classic large alpine wall.
The normal route follows the south-west ridge from the Italian Rifugio Aosta. The north face and the Tiefmatten ridge are major alternatives.
