Description#
Corno Nero is a rocky Monte Rosa subsidiary summit above the Lys Glacier, often visited with Balmenhorn and Ludwigshöhe. It is one of the easily combined points on the Italian side of the massif.
Rifugio Gnifetti and Rifugio Mantova are the standard bases. The normal line crosses the Lys Glacier and joins the upper ridge, frequently as part of a multi-summit traverse.
