Description#
Signalkuppe is Monte Rosa’s hut-crowned summit: Capanna Regina Margherita stands on its crest. The peak is a principal destination of the Lys Glacier route and a common acclimatisation objective in the massif.
From Rifugio Gnifetti or Rifugio Mantova, the normal route crosses the Lys Glacier to Colle del Lys and follows the broad upper ridge. The continuation to Zumsteinspitze and Parrotspitze makes a classic high traverse.
