Description#
Zumsteinspitze stands on Monte Rosa’s high crest between the Italian Lys basin and the Swiss Grenzgletscher. It is usually collected as part of the upper Monte Rosa ridge rather than as an isolated climb.
Rifugio Gnifetti or Rifugio Mantova provide the usual Italian base; the normal line crosses the Lys Glacier and joins the summit ridge from Colle del Lys. It is often linked with Signalkuppe and Parrotspitze.
