Description#
Nordend is Monte Rosa’s northern summit, above the Grenzgletscher and close to Dufourspitze on the frontier ridge. Its north face is a major alpine wall.
The usual ascent is based at the Monte Rosa Hut, via the upper Grenzgletscher and the Silbersattel before taking the final ridge. The north face remains a serious, committing alternative.
